Description

The Junior Accountant supports the Finance Department by ensuring accurate recording of transactions, assisting in reconciliations, and contributing to the timely preparation of financial reports. This role is designed to provide hands-on accounting experience and to support career growth within the finance function.

Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions in accordance with company procedures.

  • Prepare reconciliations (bank, vendor, and balance sheet accounts).

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

  • Assist in preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

  • Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records.

  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 0–2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related financial role (internships and part-time roles count).

  • Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, or basic financial reports is a plus.

  • Professional certification (or progress toward one) such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is an advantage but not mandatory.

Considered as an advantage
