Hyperion Energy successfully commissions the LAFS Larnaca Airport terminal project
(May 2017) The commissioning of the Larnaca Airport Central Jet Fuel Storage (LCAJFS), a subsidiary company of the largest Cypriot petroleum company Petrolina Holdings, translates to a significant operational upgrade for the Larnaca International Airport, which since its inauguration in 2009 and until LAFS came on stream, had been servicing the refuelling of airplanes from the dated facilities of the nearby old airport.
LAFS is a modern aviation fuelling terminal equipped with state-of-the art mechanical, electrical and automation technology.
The company awarded to Hyperion Energy in spring 2016 a comprehensive contract for the provision of control and safety automation, equipment and instrumentation. Under the awarded project, Hyperion Energy in cooperation with its key principal Honeywell Process Solutions, delivered a turn key solution for a Distributed Control System, Emergency Shut Down System, Tank Gauging System and Fire & Gas Detection System. Hyperion Energy also provided a package of measurement and detection instruments as well as a package of Double Block & Bleed Valves.
