Description
We are forming a new division focused on providing services support to our Steelmaking Customers for the development and commissioning of Direct Reduction Plant (DRP) automation systems. We are recruiting Senior Automation Engineers for our Nicosia, Cyprus office with drive and ambition to succeed in a dynamic, international business environment.
Responsibilities
The successful candidates will have in-depth knowledge of Siemens PCS7 distributed control system, and will be included in a team developing PSC7 based software solutions for the control of Direct Reduction (DRP) plants, blast furnaces and oxygen converters. The development is based on a series of standard solutions or standard libraries. The main phases of the project are listed below:
Drafting of the functional specifications of the plant;
Drafting of the basic documentation for the development of the Software, definition of the documentation describing the interfaces with the third-party automation systems present in the plant;
Development of the Software and testing of the same;
Drafting of the operator manual;
Testing of the project carried out by means of integrated simulation, verifying its compliance with the required functionality and performance;
Participate in the actual commissioning of the project itself.

Requirements
In-depth knowledge of the Siemens PCS 7 system and related programming languages and tools such as CFC, STL, SFC, Safety Matrix.
Knowledge of Fault Tolerant architectures.
Knowledge of FailSafe automation system concepts.
Ability to read and understand project documentation such as P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), PFD (Process Flow Diagram) and electrical diagrams.
Experience writing functional descriptions for software development.
Experience in commissioning of industrial plants, possibly in one of following sectors:
Metallurgy, Energy, Chemistry, Oil & Gas
Good knowledge of English Language (spoken and written).
Availability to travel abroad for medium-long periods (2 or 3 months) during plant commissioning.
