November 2022

This is the third concecutive time that Hyperion is selected as the preferred bidder in an international tendeing process by Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC); the new support services contract duration is through to the end of 2027.

Hyperion has been servicing oil & gas customers in Kuwait since 2003. Our engagements with Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) began in 2006, when Hyperion took the role of the Subject Matter Experts for Refinery Planning, Scheduling and Blending Optimization within the PMC team, during the SCO (Supply Chain Optimisation) project, one of the emblematic projectd at the time for the Middle East region. The transformational SCO project was based on utilising software technology from AspenTech and covered all three operating petroleum refineries of the company in Kuwait.

In 2013, following an international tendering process Hyperion were awarded the onsite support contract for AspenTech Manufacturing & Supply Chain applications across the Mina Al-Ahmadi, Mina Abdullah and Shuaiba Refineries, through to 2018. This was followed by another successful bidding and awarding of the second cycle of support through to 2022.
